The stage design process for Let It Roll 2023 was a thrilling endeavour for our design team, led by Pieter van Truijen and Pjotr van Kan. Our goal was to craft an iconic stage that closely resembled the Let It Roll logo, but with an extraterrestrial, alien twist. The result was a stunning, otherworldly structure that perfectly captured the festival’s post-apocalyptic theme. It was incredibly rewarding to see the LIR production team bring our design to life with such precision and high-level execution. This stage served as a dramatic backdrop to the festival’s renowned opening ceremony, setting the tone for the entire event.
The opening ceremony at Let It Roll is a key moment that kick-starts the weekend-long Drum ‘n Bass journey. This ceremony is designed to balance and catalyze the energy and anticipation of all attendees, known as ‘the Immortalz’. The ceremony combines spectacular visual effects, synchronized lighting, and powerful music to create an unforgettable experience that ignites the crowd’s enthusiasm and sets the stage for the festival. It’s a pivotal event that encapsulates the spirit of Let It Roll, bringing together the festival’s thematic elements in a breathtaking display.
