Let It Roll 2024: a Post-Apocalyptic battle between man versus machine.
As the world’s leading Drum ’n Bass festival, Let It Roll in the Czech Republic has long set the standard for immersive storytelling. Each edition unveils a new chapter in its ongoing “post-apocalyptic battle between man and machine,” captivating thousands of fans who crave an otherworldly experience. For 2024, the festival’s creative vision reached new heights, presenting a dramatic conflict centered on a colossal “weapon of mass destruction.”

Designing a Weapon of Mass Destruction
Our initial brief was both daunting and exhilarating: conceive a planet-destroying device that harvests energy from a volcanic power source. Starting with pencil sketches, we shaped the concept of a towering volcano crowned by an ominous reactor, symbolizing humanity’s darkest ambition. As the design moved from rough sketches to precise 3D models, our team worked hand-in-hand with the festival’s local producers, ensuring every detail aligned with the festival’s iconic lore. Pieter Truijen led the stage design process, while Pjotr van Kan applied artwork and texturing that brought the menacing structure to life. The final CAD exports provided the blueprint for a stage that stands as a testament to both creative storytelling and engineering prowess.
