Endshow & Closing Ceremony
Mysteryland, the longest-running electronic music festival in the world, made a triumphant return in 2022 with a sold-out edition. Welcoming over 133,000 visitors, it remains one of the largest and most iconic Dutch dance festivals. The event’s legacy is encapsulated by its motto: “Yesterday is History … Today is a Gift … Tomorrow is a Mystery.” For this spectacular comeback, 360 Show Design was entrusted with the show design for both Saturday’s ‘Grand Finale’ and Sunday’s ‘Closing Ceremony.’
For leading festival brands in the international dance festival market, creating an authentic and immersive festival experience that emphasizes their unique qualities is paramount. Beyond the annually changing roster of artists and headliners, what truly sets top brands apart is their ability to deliver magical, consistent experiences that keep fans returning year after year.
This is the hallmark of brands like ‘Defqon.1 Festival’, ‘Tomorrowland’, and ‘Mysteryland,’ which are known for their epic key-moments such as Defqon.1’s ‘Power Hour’ and Mysteryland’s ‘Endshow.’ At 360 Show Design, we have extensive experience in crafting these moments, helping these brands maintain their competitive edge.
Mysteryland’s ‘Endshow’ is the crowning glory of the Saturday night, the first full festival day. It’s a magical experience where visitors close the night together in unison. This ritual, guided by a carefully curated soundtrack that reflects the heritage of Mysteryland, deepens the feeling of being part of something larger than oneself. For over a year and a half, our team worked diligently to bring this vision to life, and we are proud to present the end result.
The encore on Sunday featured a special remix of Daft Punk’s ‘One More Time,’ initially created by our friends at 3AM for one of our passion projects. This remix was the perfect choice to end this year’s Mysteryland on a high note.
Jake Kooi did an exceptional job designing this year’s MainStage, which was bright and colorful by day, and mysterious and magical by night. Light Design was masterfully handled by Sander den Otter from T-Minus Design, while the pyro displays were crafted by Pyrofoor de Amsterdam. Collaborating with such top-tier suppliers was a joy, and their contributions were essential to the success of the event.
At 360 Show Design, we pride ourselves on our ability to create these unforgettable moments. If you’re looking to elevate your festival with remarkable show design and immersive experiences, we invite you to contact us and discover how we can bring your vision to life.
